- Not everybody has hearing that reaches that high. Young children and women
- hear high frequency sounds better, in fact the effect of a powerful 20khz tone
- as used in antidog/person units can cause quite severe discomfort. Most people
- upwards of about 30 years, i believe, cannot hear 20khz very well, the top
- end tends to disappear with age. I hear the tone quite clearly, I can also
- (just) hear 19khz, but after that its a bit dodgy.
