- I made a big boo-boo in my previous posting about listening to Revolver and
- Rubber Soul [Wow! A decent Stereo mix]. I left out that I was listening to
- the CD versions of the Albums, it was the CD stereo mix that I was thoroughly
- disgusted with. My point was that by using the "simulated" stereo mode of
- my Pioneer A/V receiver that mix became much more "natural." Instead of
- the voices being exclusively on one channel and the music on the other, the
- simulated mode balanced the music on both channels and put the voices towards
- the center. This makes the CD's much more listenable.
- For those interested in articles concerning the mixing of the CD's I have
- a number of journal citations which cover the controversy surrounding the
- mixing of the CD's. Just E-mail me. Cheers! G. W. IN%"slchb@usu.edu"
