- Yeah, the lyrics are:
-
- In spite of all the danger- I told you big bad bulldog
- In spite of all the danger- You've got less trouble than meeeeee
- In spite of all the danger- Leaving you astray on the road to Mandalay
- In spite of all the danger- Friends know that your love is all you got
- In spite of all the danger, oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah,
- And I'm doing nothing but aging.
-
- Or, I may have it confused with some other bootlegs ..... :-)

- In Macca's documentary about Buddy Holly (HIGHLY recommended), he
- plays the first part of "That'll Be The Day" on a record player.
- It sounds very scratchy- very poor technical quality, which is
- not surprising, since it was basically a "make a record of your
- voice" type record like you see at amusement parks. I would imagine
- that there are all kinds of legal problems to getting the record
- released, and that Macca is not interested in releasing it due
- to its poor quality. Also, early Lennon-McCartney compositions
- are pretty cruddy if you ask me. (Hello Little Girl, Like
- Dreamers Do, etc.) Macca says in his Lewisohn interview that
- George did not write the song- he was given composer's credit
- because of his guitar solo.
