- I wanted to pass on an experience that a friend of mine had with the
- Beatlefest people.
-
- He called up two weeks ago to order two books for Christmas gifts. He
- offered to pay for next day shipping, because he really wanted to make
- sure they would arrive on time. The woman on the phone kept saying
- that it wasn't necessary to do that. My friend said repeatedly that the
- cost wasn't an issue, he just wanted to be sure. She joked that if
- they don't arrive on time, she'll personally drive them up to Massachusetts.
-
- Well, here it is, Dec 22, and NO books. He called Beatlefest this
- morning, and they said "One book is out of stock and the other book was
- never sent. There wasn't any note about it being a rush. Sorry."
-
- I'm embarrased because I recommended them in the first place.
-
- I called them up to tell them this myself, and they said, "Well all we can
- do is say 'sorry'". I asked to speak to Mark or Carol, who were not in.
- Surprising, considering they must be pretty busy right now.....
-
- They had phone numbers (an 800 number at that) for my friend, and could
- have easily called, but they just didn't do it.
-
- Anyway, if you do any Christmas shopping from Beatlefest, I recommend you
- be careful, because they really don't run their business in a very
- business-like way.
