- I have seen two commercial turntables, the Bowser and the Diamond Scale.
- Bowser's turntable base is plywood and the walls and bridge are made of
- dimensional lumber. This looks like it would have no problem standing up to
- the rigors of module transportation. Diamond Scale's turntable is more of a
- craftsman kit, very detailed and realistic, but also more delicate. The base
- is plywood, but the pit wall appears to be a high density plaster. I have
- decided to build my own turntable based on the Bowser construction because the
- module I will have the turntable on will be a two piece module split down the
- middle, so the turntable will have to be removed each time the module is
- removed.
