- Maybe the chains are getting pissed off because Atari is now selling DIRECT
- at killer prices. I know that if I owned a Toy Store I would be pissed off. The
- fact that Atari is selling direct is bad enough but at the LOW prices it is
- just a slap in the face to all the toystores. A similar thing is happening in
- the Apple community. Apple computer recently began selling direct and many
- computer resellers became very upset, and Apple was selling at RETAIL price
- which is VERY high. If Apple decided to sell at anything below retail, maybe
- some places would have dropped the Mac line, like what is happening with the
- Lynx. Who knows, this is just my 2 cents.
