- Here are two interesting Street Fighter II codes:
-
- DDBE-0FD9 Makes player invisible when made dizzy. While invisible
- you cannot be hit. Fireballs seem to work as do most
- throws, but punches and kicks don't connect. You can
- tell where you are by your shadow. Real handy on Level 7
- as Bison loves to make you dizzy.
-
- DD80-AD64 This is a modification of a code in the book. If you do
- this and then lose the first round it will look like the
- entire fight is over, but you will get credit for a win
- If you win a fight the game locks up, so don't throw
- any blows. You must turn off the genie at M.Bison because
- if he wins then you win, but it gets confused and crashes.
-
- Using these two codes its super easy to see the cool final screen on
- level 7. Enter both codes. Don't throw any moves you will still
- advance through the players. When you get to Bison, let him make
- you dizzy. You will become invisible, then turn off the genie and
- crush him with throws. The next round will start, turn the genie
- back on. Let him make you dizzy, you become invisible turn off the
- genie and crush him again. Game over. While working you way through
- the other players if one of them makes you dizzy just wait out the
- time limit if you didn't throw any blows they will win the round
- but you will still advance.
-
- For anyone thinking about getting a genie, its not that bad. But the initial
- set of codes is a bit weak(mostly older games). But for Contra III and
- Smash TV they really are useful. Its also nearly impossible to "guess"
- codes. A friend and I must have went through 40-100 sets of 5 codes
- before we found the dizzy makes you invisible trick, without the
- dissy code in the book as a good starting memory address it would have
- been impossible. Too bad they didn't put a hex dumper into the genie,
- at least then you could have a chance at makeing your own codes.
- Perhaps a console copier isn't a bad idea after all 8->
