- Hey. Are you the guy who either wrote or posted all those Master Wade
- stories?
-

-
- Yeah, well, I feel that Star Wars is quite busy and plays very clunky.
- I just can't seem to find one smooth shot on this game. Even the ones
- that seem to have been designed to be smooth feel clunky.
-
- A lot of the software from LW3 appears to have been reused, like the ramp,
- and the runaway to R2D2, to name a couple. And yes, I do like a rubber post
- between my return lane and my outlane. And yes, I do like a kickback that
- doesn't require taking the glass off or losing the ball to get the thing
- relit.
-
- One thing I really miss on this game is an upper right flipper. I just
- realized how much I really like those loop shots from left to right that
- follow with a shot from an upper right flipper. I can't even recall the
- last Data East game that was made with more than two flippers. Torpedo
- Alley, maybe? Couldn't be. That was either their second or third game.
-
- And what's the deal with the "let's detract from the general appearence of
- our game" piece of el-cheapo Darth Vader plastic on top of the backbox?
- Major yucko. Major, MAJOR yucko.
-
- And is it just me, or does R2D2 just kind of jump around and not even
- get involved with the play of the game? I mean, at least THING on TAF
- locked balls for multiball. All I ever see R2D2 do is jump up and down.
- I bet if he broke, no one would even notice.
-
- Those are my complaints. Any good things to say? Not really. It's an
- average Data East game. Maybe it's just me, but these people have been
- at it for a while, and I'm sure they're capable, but I really don't see
- them doing a game better than LW3. Perhaps I should wait until I see
- Rocky and Bullwinkle or Jurassic Park before I dismiss them from the
- category of those capable of designing a great game. Playable, sometimes,
- but great? I don't know. These people have had a lot of time and I've
- yet to see anything exceptional from them.
