  16. Yup.  It assigned the index to the char, so indices 0-31 became control
  17. characters.  Not a problem until you hit a newline, which caused newscores
  18. to break.

  20. pledit v1.02 avoids the problem, but not in a manner that could be called
  21. graceful.  Basically it just doesn't crash on you when it hits the remains
  22. of the corrupted stuff.
