  15.   You do seem to be a little short on proof there, Joel.  But here is a true
  16. proof.  I did it.  I admit it.  And I am sorry that I did do it.  Yeah, right
  17. you'll probably say.  Well, I was planning to admit it on the net earlier,
  18. but again... Yeah right.  Anyway... I am sick of telling lies to people and
  19. screwing people over and so on and so forth...  HONEST!  [HONEST(tm)?]  I
  20. do not think it was right that I put the virus on furry muck, and I wish I
  21. hadn't.  I also want to apologize to all of the people in the log I flamed.
  22. that should not have been done either, and I'm sorry for that as well.
  23. This has caused me much more trouble that it was worth, and I didn't even
  24. get any enjoyment out of crashing the place because people kept on saying
  25. that 'that person' was being very annoying/etc.  The reason that really hit
  26. me (whereas people saying that they weren't impressed, or that we had no
  27. life, or whatever did not) was because it was true.  I guess I'm a sucker
  28. for morals, but if I had listened to my conscience in the first place I
  29. would not be in this situation.  Again.  I'm sorry.  Doubtless some people
  30. will believe me; some will not.  But you have the truth there in front of
  31. you whether or not you choose to believe it.  I promise that I won't do
  32. another thing to crash a MUCK (or MUD, or MUSH, or whatever.)  I wish my
  33. word meant more, but its the best I can do.  I'm sorry; I really am.  I
  34. also have the problem that 'Sorry isn't good enough,' at least for most
  35. people.  Are there any suggestions on what is enough?  What else can I do?
  36. I have given my word that I would not do this again (and although many of
  37. you will choose not to believe it, it is the truth and I will stick to it).
  38. Furry never lost any information.  Furry got the security changes to FB
  39. code made.  The only thing left is that there are still two other people
  40. running out there free when they should be punished.  And this leads into
  41. some more problems.
  42.   First, there are not two people.  That is not much of a problem.  The real
  43. problem is that I have already promised that I would not reveil the name of
  44. the other person I worked with.  Here I am up against a wall.  If I tell
  45. you who it was, I've broken a promise (and therefore my apology above is
  46. no longer valid since it contained a lie.)  If I don't, everyone (most
  47. everyone) will think that I am not relaly sincere, since all I did is say
  48. sorry.  That is why I'm asking you to take this at face value.  Its all I
  49. have left to go on.  The reason I am not saying who my partner was is that
  50. I don't believe it would be morally correct to do so.  If you want any
  51. chance of figuring out who it was, don't pester me; it won't do any good.
  52. The only way you will be able to is to convince me (philisophically) that
  53. it is morally correct.  If you wish to do so, you know my email (but I'll
  54. give it anyway: mtymp06@staff.tc.umn.edu) and you can send me mail if you
  55. want to argue about it.  (Would you like to buy an argument?)  Information
  56. that might be of use: I am a Christian and am not of the Catholic sect.

  58.   Will there be flames to this news post?  Most likly yes.  But I'd suggest
  59. against it.  I have said I'm sorry and have asked for input on anything else
  60. you can think of that I need to do.  I wouldn't respond to the flames anyway.
  61. All it would do would be to prolong this event when we are close to the end.
