- QUICK background. Yozduk@cs.utexas.edu installed a virus on FurryMUCK to
- log people's public and private actions and dialogue. Bad enough, but now
- we have random snide remarks from jfurr@polaris.async.vt.edu about people's
- motivations.
-
- Comments in { } by Yozduk, comments in [ ] by jfurr@polaris, everything else
- from me:
- >{ I think that what we did
- >gather will show all of the furries out there a bit about themselves and
- >their motives for the entire MUCK experience. Tinysex runs rampant on that
- >muck, and I bow before you in taking one step to prevent it, if only for a
- >short while. }
-
- Somehow, I think it just shows how juvenile your mentality is, more than
- anything else. Boasting about spreading a virus program is hardly the sign of
- a superior intellect.
-
- >Johnny at Johnny's Hot Tub Room> Johnny purrs, "two minutes!"
- >{ehhhhh... wrong. 11:58 started this log, bozo!}
-
- Huh? Or are you so dense, Yozduk, that you can't do basic math? Midnight -
- 11:58 = two minutes, remember.
-
- >Cyberskunk at West Corner of The Park> You page, "Oh, I was trying to talk
- >with someone on here, and my brother and mother came in here, and had dinner
- >in the room, and kept talking, and I was trying to snuggle, and she really
- >wanted to snuggle, and they just kept coming and going and asking me
- >questions, and it was costing the other person money to call here. By the
- >time they left in RL, she had to go, too." to Erratica.
- >[Looks like Cyberskunk won't be getting any tiny sex tonight...]
- >{... and aint that a shame? a couple of minutes without Furry tinysex}
-
- Incredible how both these guys associate "snuggling" with "tinysex". I know
- for a fact that TS was not on Cyberskunk's mind, but you two are too self-
- engrossed to believe that, I'm sure.
-
- >Cyberskunk at West Corner of The Park> You say, "Hi, Babs."
- >[Whoops! Here's Cyberskunk again! His last shot at sex didn't work so now
- >here is try number 2]
-
- Aren't we jumping to conclusions a little quickly?
-
- >Blackwolf at Underground Nexus> You page, "Hold on, I've taken quite a liking
- >to Alodara here and want to see if she wants to come along" to Conway.
- >[So how many tiny sex offers is that now? I think we are up to 4 now.
- >Maybe all these furries should get a life and find something better to do
- >than PRETEND to have sex. PRETEND. But maybe thats all they can get.]
- >{*shrug* ... sounds plausible to me}
-
- Does this count? I mean, _really_. You two can turn "Hello, how are you
- today?" into an offer to have sex, tiny or not.
-
- >Yozduk at Johnny's Hot Tub Room> You say, "I love this!"
- >[This is guaranteed to be a memorable one. :) ]
-
- I wonder what's worse, people who are fixiated with getting tinysex and
- nothing else (as some furries DO tend to behave), or people who have nothing
- better to do than write infectious software and cause electronic vandalism.
- At least the folks engaged in TS are minding their own business...
-
- >Bobcat at Johnny's Hot Tub Room> You purr, "Gott~ra g/{..."
- >[Gott~ra g/{? What on EARTH is a gott~ra g/{?]
- >{could that be some furry language, oh wait, I see now: 'Gotta go' after
- >the typos take effect.}
- >[And who would have thought that 'Master-typer Bobcat' would make a typo that
- >fubar-ish!]
-
- Line noise, probably. But nah, you two are so set in your inflammatory ways
- that you have to interpret it in a negative light...
-
- >Sevnara at Johnny's Hot Tub Room> You chime "Yozduk...I'm getting an error on
- >cmd-callpage."
- >[we are up to 6 people... 6 clueless people...]
- >{you'd think by now someone would have at least listed the program to find
- >the error, or maybe to see what was going on. But who knows, the code wasn't
- >*that* different from the original :) }
- :
- >Cyberskunk at West Corner of The Park> You page, "I'm not getting any page
- >messages from you. Just an error msg." to Yozduk.
- >[Someone please give this guy a new brain. His current one is faulty.
- >Why is he trying to page Yozduk telling Yozduk that page doesn't work?
- >And he STILL has not figured it out that Yozduk should not own the page
- >program.]
-
- Aren't we assuming that every "clueless" person here wants to be a MUCK
- programmer? How about John Q. User, who just uses "page" because it's there,
- and actually assumes Yozduk was working on it for a good reason? Guess they
- must be clueless, thinking Yozduk was innocent...
-
- >Karen_Larson at Lyle and Karen Larson's Abode> Karen_Larson says, "I suddenly
- >have five actions I didn't have before, and I don't know if I should recycle
- >them or what."
- >[Duh... GEE! I don't know!]
- >{I don't think you should recycle them. Wouldn't be a good idea.}
-
- Probably be more prudent to @recycle the people who created the actions.
-
- Actually, using the word "people" to describe Yozduk and jfurr@polaris
- is probably an insult to humanity as a whole.
-
- >Chris at West Corner of The Park> You say, "Someone dies a LOT."
- >{yep, I think Chris has figured it out. Well, is my char being killed enough
- >for you?}
-
- Not enough for me.
-
- >[Well there you have it folks! The crashing of furry all in a nice, neat
- >little log file for your reading enjoyment! Take care! -- Yozduk & Co.]
-
- I don't know where these two clods come from, but I get the distinct
- impression that they got their juvenile kicks from a New Year's Eve romp of
- vandalism and voyeurism. Their views of Tinysex and FurryMUCK and furries
- notwithstanding, it's just plain wrong. It's one thing to @recycle Yozduk's
- character, but that's not enough -- someone should contact the administrators
- of their computer accounts and lob some high-ordinance disciplinary action in
- their direction.
-
- I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels like this.
-
- >{One last thing: What are your new year's resolutions?}
-
- To nuke Yozduk@cs.utexas.edu and jfurr@polaris.async.vt.edu into little
- puddles of radioactive protoplasm.
-
- --R.J.
- B-(
-
- P.S. For the record, I was not caught by the virus or in the log. I do know a
- lot of the folks who were logged, though, and to watch these two clods trample
- over their privacy is very infuriating.
