  24.     Actually, you can save yourself the labor - I saw this posting
  25. on rec.games.mud.lp, so I'm sure it's an LPMud. However, this posting
  26. only contains the group rec.games.mud.misc in the Newsgroups: line,
  27. so people may not know that it's also in rec.games.mud.lp.
  28.     Also, since my newsreader does not show me articles that I
  29. have already read in other groups, I suspect this article was posted
  30. separately in separate groups. I'm not sure if you know this, but
  31. it is an inconvenience to the thousands of readers out there to have
  32. to go through your article again when they have already read it.
  33. To make sure you are reaching only those folks in each group who have
  34. not already seen it in other groups, please "cross-post" your articles
  35. (ie, specify all the newsgroups you want to reach in the same posting)
  36. in the future. Those whose newsreaders do not have the "no-repeat"
  37. feature that mine has will not be hurt anyway, and those whose
  38. newsreaders do will be spared unnecessary (to all, including you)
  39. inconvenience.
