  12. Well here's a summary of week 2 of the XMAS empire game.  Even with the
  13. holidays there were some hard-core players going at it on Christmas day
  14. and eve...with wars raging everywhere, there's no peace on any of the
  15. continents.  Even with a 50 point tech lead in the beginning of the game
  16. for the newbies, the advanced players are at the point of passing up the
  17. tech leader.  Nukes will most likely start flying by the beginning of
  18. next week so more players will be taken out.  Out of 33 players that started
  19. in the beginning, we have only 19 active players left and some of those
  20. will be taken out soon.  The top power now attained its position by munching
  21. on several inactive players; the previous #1, Spitzbergen, dropped after
  22. prolonged war with duckland and Inferno, and has been unable to take either
  23. one of them out.  Here's the power chart as of Wednesday, Dec. 30:
