  27. The problem with power appears to be that the power file is present but
  28. empty.  Perhaps the stdio library acts somewhat differently under Linux.
  29. I will look into this problem further starting next month, but for now I
  30. just wanted to get something usable uploaded.

  32. I mentioned this in the README.linux file, I believe.  The solution is
  33. to run a "power n" to generate a new power file; after that power works fine.
