- Just when I'm getting ready to change the comments on my games to something
- more informative, Rick goes and posts an openings list with the old comments

- To provide a little more detail on these games: despite the marginally
- accurate "gunboat" label, all three games are effectively standard
- Diplomacy: they all allow partial press, i.e. individual communication
- between players. The only difference from standard is that you don't know
- who the other players are in real life. So, don't sign up for these games if
- you wan't a no-press game, or a public-press only game: these games do allow
- partial (yes, even though the settings display you get from a LIST doesn't
- explicitly mention that fact), so don't sign up and then be surprised.
-
- As to the differences: compress is a normal M-F 48-hour game; a little
- faster than normal, but nothing to write home about. impress is a game for
- advanced players only, and is at a normal 72-hour pace. express is for the
- truly hyperactive in the crowd: 24-hour deadlines, 24-hour grace, weekend
- processing. Do a LIST EXPRESS and read my admonitions there before joining
- this game.
-
- By the way, thanks to Rick for posting this list! (To Sean Starkey as well,
- who also posts such lists periodically.)
