- My first submission/question:
- I am white in the following:
- 1.d2-d4 g8-f6 2. c2-c4 c7-c5 3. d4-d5 b7-b5 4. b2-b3 ...
- MCO12 identifies black's 3rd move with the Benko Gambit. It gives three
- possible responses: 4.c4xb5 4. g1-f3 4. a2-a4
- I played as I did to support the c-pawn. Accepting the gambit removes
- support from the d-pawn; the other two MCO12 responses give up the c-pawn,
- which will then cause the d-pawn to lose support.
- Can someone explain the thinking here, please?
- Thanks.
