  10. You know, its not that I can't appreciate why so many people here dislike me.
  11. After, all, they have their cozy little newsgroup. They write about chess,
  12. sometimes exchange misinformed opinions about politics, and generally while
  13. away otherwise pointless lives. (Most, not all. I am sure some people here hop
  14. on merely to relax for a moment and follow their hobby.)

  16. And then, Mr. Wedding hops on and attacks their demi-gods--the GMs and IMs.
  17. Points out how biased their opinions are and how these 'experts' will sell
  18. their skills to anybody with $20 and a few years to waste with a game of
  19. postal chess. Brings up all the sour grapes, and how the readers of this group
  20. have bought it wholesale.

  22. Then as they are ganging up on Mr. Wedding, I come along. And I'm not just
  23. viscious against them, I am arrogent to boot. I refuse to bring my chess
  24. abilities into the area (well, at least until one attorney used his expert
  25. reasoning skills to determine I did not know how to play, and well I guess I
  26. just couldn't resist rubbing his nose in such a poorly based decision! After
  27. all,, he should know better than to ask questions he doesn't know the answer
  28. to...) and stick to my claim that Benjies article was not false, just weakly 
  29. supported and possibly the result of admitted bias.

  31. And for two weeks, I stick to it. I don't let people drag me off subject. The
  32. best anyone could do was post that another article on the subject of Fischer's
  33. skills had been written.

  35. And what pissed people here the most, (aside from my arrogance) was that I
  36. didn't fall into the normal net-war pattern of spinnng off in all directions.

  38. So, I decided to see just how far these 'humans' would drag this thing if they
  39. were allowed. I began to argue the legitimacy of the ban on foreign travel as
  40. applied to chess, and look where we are.

  42. You people don't care about the subjects.

  44. You don't give a damn about truth.

  46. You don't even care if what you are saying would make sense to anyone above the
  47. age of five.

  49. You do love to hurl unfounded insults.

  51. You are quite skilled at comparing apples to snow tires and claiming they are
  52. identical.

  54. You are more emotional than the readers of talk.rape.

  56. You think that if you somehow twist the argument from an area until it
  57. is churned over and over so as to become a grey area, you have "won".

  61. But out of all of you who do this, Sven, stand up and take a bow. I have never
  62. seen anyone who is more willing to change his story, ignore other people's
  63. posts under the falshood of claiming it is garbage, make asenine comparisons
  64. AND have the gall to get mad when someone points out how STUPID they are, and
  65. still claim to seriously want a thred to die.

  68. ideas, comparisons, and posts were; no matter how factually flat-out wrong they
  69. were, I took the time to point out just how wrong you were.
