- A few months ago I posted some of my thoughts on the book
- "Combination JB>Challenge!" by Lou Hays and John Hall. After discussing
- position #1, it JB>became apparent that there were at least two
- different versions of the JB>book in circulation (if position #1 has a
- pawn on c6, then your book is a JB>newer version than mine).
-
- John I must have an older version of the book like you. However all of
- the ommissions you mention below are not found in my book, so you must
- have got a defective copy.
-
- JB>I recently discovered another unfortunate problem with my version of the
- JB>book: pages 169-176 are missing entirely; these would have contained the
- JB>solutions for problems #821-834, and diagrams for problems #835-888. Does
- JB>the newer version also have this omission? Does anyone know if Hays Publish
- JB>is willing to supply the missing pages?
