  12. I used to be able to use GIICS fine when I was unregistered on ICS.  Now
  13. that I'm registered, it doesn't work.  Here's what happens:

  15. When I log in using GIICS, it sends an extra carriage return or something
  16. at the username prompt, causing ICS to repeat the prompt.  Then GIICS
  17. sends the correct username, and ICS recognizes it.  So far, so OK, but
  18. next ICS prompts for the password and GIICS sends that pesky extra
  19. carriage return again!  So now ICS pops back to the username prompt, and
  20. GIICS sends my password.  ICS thinks that this is my unregistered username
  21. and proceeds from there.  Thus, I cannot use GIICS to get onto ICS as a
  22. registered user!

  24. I am using GIICS 1.53, the latest I could find on
  25. valkyries.andrew.cmu.edu.  I have even tried editing the .CNF file and
  26. removing alternately the carriage returns and line-feeds, to no avail. 
  27. Does any kind soul out there know what's up and what I can do?
