  16.    Happy and merry christmas to  all of you.

  18.    I need to stay in with my computer work, through out these holidays.

  20.   I want to know how and where can I play chess. I have a vt100 terminal, 
  21.   (so GRAPHIC INTERFACE is out of question on this terminal).

  23.   Ofcourse, I can keep a board beside myself and play the moves.

  25.   There is a ftp/telnet site (currently I donot have the exact details, my
  26.   freiend in the other room has them).
  27.   The other day we logged into the chess account, and were at the prompt.

  30.        shah shouts "Any one to play?"
  31.        rick resigns 
  32.        john enters/logged in
  33.        setting up new board (or something similar)
  34.        ...
  35.     There was some thing like help (I guess). But could not get 
  36.    much help (or I may not be knowing how to extract the required details).
  37.    We were not Registered or some thing like that. COULD NOT PROCEED MUCH 
  38.    FURTHER.
  39.    (Using help we came to know that there were commands like whisper, shout
  40.     etc, not of much use to us then).

  42.     Can any noble soul around help me, in establishing networked CHESS links?
  43.     If required I can manage a account  on some X-WINDOW terminal.

  45.     But how can one play? Will it be something like I have a CHESS BOARD setup
  46.     with pieces etc, and fix up my match with SHAH (let us say) by responding
  47.     to him, who too can now have his board setup. So every move he makes is 
  48.     reflected on both the boards or something similar. I exactly do not know,
  49.     how one plays or anything.  If this system  can have CLOCKS etc, I think
  50.     that would be great.

  52.    But am very interested in knowing the ULTIMATE truth.

  54.    I would appreciate any help extended to me in this direction. If somebody
  55.    feels that there is lot that needs to be explained, then I can make a phone 
  56.    call to know the details (hope the teacher is in U.S.A.). Even an email 
  57.    reponse is also appreciated.
