  29. Though I view Bobby Fischer as somewhat of an American asset and though I don't
  30. believe that he should spend a minute in jail (though he could well afford the
  31. maximum fine), he did violate a U.S. law (no matter how silly you may believe
  32. it).  Nowhere is it written in the U.S. Constitution that chess players are
  33. exempt.
