- Seems a certain GM-to be choked in the final round.
- Congrats to Pat and Alex for their good showings.
- It would be nice to see some of these younger US GM's get out and
- start kicking tail in some of the international tournaments and make
- the transition to super-GM levels of chess. Although we've had
- flashes from Seirawan, Benjamin, DeFirmian, Fedorowicz and
- Christiansen we need some new blood out there (my opinion, of course).
- I don't think I could stand much more talk of Fischer or Kamsky being
- the best US hope to become World Champ (ugh).

- P.S. Of course, I'm not mentioning strong GM's like Kaidanov or
- Yermolinsky. I don't think their success has the same effect on the
- US chess community that a US-bred chessplayer would (my opinion,
- again).
