  15. I just got my Chess Informant #55 in the mail.  This volume is
  16. published by Chess Informant,  Ltd. in Nicosia, Cyprus; and has
  17. been printed in Hungary by Szegedi Nyomda.  The previous volume
  18. (#54) was also printed in Hungary and published in Cyrpus.  Volume
  19. #53 was both published and printed in Beograd, Yugoslavia.

  21. Wherever it is being printed, there seems to be a drop in quality
  22. control in #55 (based on my sample size of one!).  My copy has
  23. eight blank pages in it -- obvious production errors.  None of my
  24. copies of the previous volumes (and I have most of them) had such
  25. errors.

  31. This volume has all 30 FS-II games.  (The last four of them have
  32. been included in a special annex.)  The FS games are annotated by
  33. Balasov, Matanovic, Timman, Matulovic, Glek, Seirawan, Nikitin,
  34. Damljanovic, and Speelman.

  36. The volume seems to have the usual crew of top annotators.  People
  37. still contributing include:  Byrne, Mednis, Anand, Chandler,
  38. Christiansen, Dlugy, Gulko, Karpov, Kasparov, Kortchnoi, Kamsky,
  39. Miles, Nunn, J. Polgar, Z. Polgar, and Short.

  41. The USCF and ChessBase have full page advertisements.
