  37. - -800 was of course a bottom.  With no outside entry, East's double seems
  38. - really strange.  I have two questions:

  43. Uhh, -1400?  I don't know.  What I do know is that if I'd had those
  44. 7 spades and *5* hearts, I still would have lead a spade,  even if 
  45. partner had stood on his or her chair and doubled.

  47. Of course, it's unclear to me exactly *why* East doubled 3NT; perhaps
  48. it was a striped tail ass (or whatever it's called) double, ie.
  49. East was trying to get you to run.
