- The first thing I do when getting a wargame is clip the counters -
- take a set of fingernail clippers to the ragged corners of each
- counter and snip off the excess, so they look like little octogons.
- It's part of my new game ritual. Then, when I play, I slide my paper
- map under a 1/4" think piece of plexiglass, which I bought at my local
- glass supply store. Then, to pick up and move the pieces, I have a
- long, curved pair of tweezers, easily obtainable in most department
- stores and game stores.
- These three steps (clipping, plexiglass, and tweezers) all combine to
- minimize the amount of counter slippage, practically no matter how
- high the stacks get.
