- Having lived in the metro Phoenix area for 5 years now, I can say
- that this is one of the better places for a cyclist to live. The roads
- thru the city may be the only negative but that issue has recently been
- addressed by the addition of new bike lanes. But just outside the metro
- area is some of the best cycling around - both road and mountain. Great
- parks and reservations not to mention a canal system that stretches the
- entire valley. The heat is another story. Hope you own a trainer or
- rollers. And the climbs! There are several quality bike shops here in
- the valley that can provide you with all the info you need:
- Bike Masters
- Bicycle Outfitters
- Domenic's
- Tempe Bike
- These are just a few but are by far the better shops. Go straight to
- any one or all of these when you get here.
