- MarcUs reply reminds me of the perfect training: Mass-start racing! This
- may not be the best time of the year for Urealj racing (although the
- original poster lives in Austin, TX, I believe), but you can always
- simulate a race with periodic attacks, fast pacelines, and times of
- relatively slow riding. Then, when the local training crits begin in the
- Spring, go to EVERY one.
- Marc and I have the luxury of weekly racing (May through September) at
- the local (flat) sports-car track. ItUs excellent speed work, and a very
- good substitute for motor-pacing, even if you just sit on in a smaller
- gear. That, coupled with the track and up to three other weekly races,
- pretty much obviates the need to Utrainj in the summer.
