  13. Well, I know King video's were discussed in detail a while back, so I tried
  14. to go back, but none of th news server I can get to seems to have those
  15. kept.  Sorry about this, but back then, I wasn't interested in them, but
  16. now I am.  :(

  18. I recievered this promo video and bunch of flyers from King the other day. 
  19. I tried watching the promo tape and it seems pretty good.  Here is the
  20. deal I am looking at:

  22.     $169    Private Pilot Course
  23.         comes with:
  24.             free video "Takeoff's and Landing Made Easy"
  25.             free computerized Exam Review ($39 dollar value)

  27.      $59    Private Pilot flight test course 
  28.         (looks helpful and interesting)
  29.  
  30.         order these two and also get:
  31.             4 free "take-off" videos which some looks interesting
  32.  
  33.         and also a entry to win a Mooney MSE
  34.         (yeah right, like I'll win :)

  36.     so for all this for $228.

  38. this seems to sound good, and the promo video seems good enough to be
  39. understandable.

  41. Now here is my question:

  43. (1) if price was not a factor at all, which is the best (ie, give me the
  44.     most ground school "education"):
  45.  
  46.     (a) a ground school that progresses the same time as your actual
  47.         flight time, ie teaches you ground school stuff as you go along
  48.         in your actualy training.  This is what's offered at Flight
  49.         Simulation at SQL.
  50.  
  51.     (b) totally separate flight school somewhere else.
  52.  
  53.     (c) the king videos
  54.  
  55. (2) if price IS a factor, which is the best deal?  Considering the money
  56.     I'll be spending and the education I will be getting.
  57.  
  58. I don't want to be cheap and compramise education and this safety.  So
  59. I am a little reluctant about learning off of bunch of videos for ground
  60. school...what if I have a question?!?  (I know, post it here! :)
