- "On the twelfth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me..."
-
- I'm now the happy owner of a solvent tank. My wife picked it up at a
- company auction for $40. It's made of 1/8 steel plate with a
- counterbalanced lid and even has provision for a 6" vent stack. It
- apparently was filled with lacquer thinner before we got it. (phew!)
- It holds approximately 50 gallons. (200 liters)
-
- For some reason it doesn't have a drain plug, which I will remedy
- before I put it into use. The question is, what do I put in it? It
- will be primarily used for cleaning cylinder heads and engine blocks.
- I could get some appropriate heating elements if required, but I'd just
- as soon use it cold.
-
- There are, so far as I know, no local environmental restrictions on
- solvents.
