- I guess the reason behind this feature if indeed that was it is, was so
- that the engine can get warmed up faster. By not letting it kick into
- overdrive they can accomplish this to some degree, at a huge price
- of efficiency though, especially since your car is at it's least
- efficient when the engine is cold anyway.
