- I would like to retrofit power steering to a '65 Falcon. The car is
- currently manual steering. The correct power steering for this car is a
- slave cylinder rig. Since this particular car is a steet machine with
- no collectible value, I'd prefer to use an integral power steering box
- if possible.
-
- My Chilton's manual says some later (presumably '71-'73) models of
- the Mustang used an integral power steering unit. I realize the big hog
- Mustang was a different chassis than the '65 Falcon/Mustang, but does
- anyone know if the steering box will interchange, presumably with minor
- changes?
-
- I could adapt a Saginaw box, but I'd have to do a lot of bending on the
- Pitman arm, and I'd prefer to avoid that if possible.
