I own a 1987 Nissan Maxima (85,000 miles) with a frustrating alignemnt problem.
5000 miles ago, I replace all four tires (Dunlop D60 M2 <196 60 15>) with a life time alignment warranty.
After 1000 miles of wear I began to notice a slight wear on the right edge of both front tires. I immediately took it back for a check. The mechanic at Tire Pros told me that the alignment was slightly off. (After 1000 miles and I don't remember hitting anything)
After 3000 more miles I noticed the wear on the front two tires was getting noticeable. Especially the right tire. So I took it in again. The mechanic told me again that the toe was off again.
After he aligned and rotated the tires, After 1000 miles, I am noticing more and more wear on the front right tire (that is now rotated to the rear).
Whats going on here. From what's going on, I think I might need to replace that tire.
I know that my casters cannot be adjusted, but that should not wear my tires. A friend of mine told me that it might be a worn out part like a bushing.
Can someone please help. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
