  12. It is time to change my transmission oil in my 1973 BMW 2002.
  13. The manual specifies explicitly that only Non-hypoid gear lube should
  14. be used in the transmission. I have been to a couple of car parts
  15. stores none of which had non-hypoid gear lube.

  17. I have not yet tried the dealer yet....

  19. As far as I understand hypoid gear lube does not thin out as much as non-hypoid
  20. oil.  I am also interested in using a synthetic oil as well.. Does anyone 
  21. have a recommendation for a product or source for non-Hypoid gear lube
  22. (preferably synthetic) ??
