- Donald is in error. According to my Haynes manual, Sentras from 1990 on
- used the GA16i engine, which incorporates a timing chain, not a belty, as
- in earlier models. While earlier Sentras (like my 1987) should have the
- timing belts changed (or at least inspected quite regularly) after 60,000
- mi, there is no such scheduled maintenance for the 1990 and newer timing
- chains.
