- AC>>>I have a '84 Ford Tempo (4 Doors). The driver side mirror broke.
- >>>It is the type that mounted from inside the door. Local body shops
- >>>won't touch it. The Ford Dealer wants $80 for it. I figure a
- >>>replacement is only $10. $70 for labor (and the knowledge) seems
- >>>a ripoff to me. Is it hard to open the door to replace the mirror
- >>>myself? Can anyone tell me how? Thanks in advance.
-
- AC>>>[This is the first time I post at rec.auto.tech. If this is not the
- >>>right group for the question, please send Email about the right group
- >>>to post. Thanks.]
- You posted in the right place!
- The xpense is in the part itself! Its not cheap. The labor is only a
- half hour. This is the mirror thats mounted like it supports the window,
- right?
