- I plan to purchase a decent amp for her before she goes off to
- college, anyway. She owns a decent Denon CD player, and the Polks are
- an order of magnitude better than the Fishers that she used to listen
- to. (In spite of what is apparently a shortcoming in handling ultra-
- low bass, although it is hardly fair to condemn them for poor
- performance given the Fisher amp that they are forced to struggle with,
- and the somewhat cursory listening sessions.)
