- Means "short and sweet" in case you were a'wonderin'.
-
- Anyways, it appears that in the Christmas Eve Party episode
- my parents interfered with, Brooke went down by the pool and saw some
- surfside skin, courtesy of Ridge and Taylor, and was rendered distraught.
- She fled in near-hysteria. Taylor and Ridge, otherwise in flagrante
- occupado, didn't realize.
-
- On Thursday, Brooke calls Ridge, and bids him have a merry
- little Christmas. She "never wanted to be a burden" to him. She doesn't
- tell him she's hanging out at the Big Bear cabin, watching a snowstorm,
- and hangs up. Ridge can tell there's a problem. Dad comes in, Ridgid
- informs him of the problem, and they worry that they were too hard on
- poor Brooke at the condo. Ridge makes some calls, trying to find
- Brooke.
-
- Darla and Sally are having a holly jolly Christmas (Sally gave
- Darla some itty-bitties from Lustful Lingerie -- now I KNOW they read
- my stuff!), and Darla invites Sally and a "date" to spend New Year's Eve
- with her and Bill. What date? Why not Jack? Sally thinks Jack is likely
- to be decking the halls with Stephanie. When what to her wondering eyes
- should appear... but Jack at the door, with sales for the year!
- Sometimes I kill myself.
- Darla exits with a triumphant "Yes!". While Sally's perusing the
- sales figures, Jack brings in a basket full of little gifts and tells
- Sally what a wonderful mass of woman she is, and how she made his life
- more complete (with a job and friendship). They hug, Sally's happy, her
- cleavage resembles the Black Canyon of the Gunnison, but she looks
- almost pretty!
-
- Stephanie and Taylor are discussing the previous fun party.
- Stephanie tells Taylor that since they didn't see much of her and Ridge
- at the party (except for Brooke, who saw a lot of her), Eric was there
- and even enjoyed himself, but Brooke fled after seeing Ridge and Taylor
- makin' wavies. Taylor notes that Brooke must have gotten an eyeful
- WoWer! and not of pool water, either. Steph informs her that she fled,
- and tells Taylor that it serveth Brooke righteth. Changing the subject,
- Steph gives Taylor several cool carats of heirloom ice for being a
- WUNDERBAR daughter-in-law. Taylor is moved to near-tears, and I am
- moved to near nausea. Kristen and Felicia apparently didn't get the ice
- from Mommy Forrester because they married nogoodniks.
-
- Back at the cabin, a bursting Brooke flashes back on Ridge's
- ring-in-the-champagne marriage proposal, before Eric's blindness bout
- derailed her nuptial plans. Almost had it! she thinks. The phone
- rings. Ridge is on the other line, hoping she's there. He's about to
- hang when she gets on the line. She says to leave her alone, but
- Ridge, knowing the biological alarm is about to go off, assures her he'll
- come and get her, because the snowy roads are treacherous. He grabs a
- jacket and runs for it, neglecting to pack his Coleman Stove.
-
- To heat the hot water, of course.
-
- Brooke looks at the snow a-fallin' down.
-
-
- Tune in this Thursday, when Ridge could very possibly say:
-
- "Not YET, Brooke! If you hold the baby in for two more hours,
- we could win all those first-baby-of-the-year prizes!"
