- I must be jinxed. My first week on Tuesdays and I miss the first 15 minutes
- due to Clinton's announcements. Maybe someone in another time zone could
- help out with the beginning. Anyway, here's what I got...
-
- Sophia tells CC all of the reasons she'd like to get out of the hospital in
- time for Christmas. CC comments that she didn't mention Ken. Micah comes in
- and tells Sophia the toxicologist said she can go home tomorrow. CC goes
- outside and finds out from the nurse that Ken hasn't been around all day; CC
- tells her to locate him and have him come to the hospital. Later, the nurse
- tells CC she's tried everywhere, but there's no sign of Ken. Probably out
- spending her money, CC murmurs. CC goes back into Sophia's room and lies that
- Ken called and left her a message that he loves her, didn't want to wake her.
- CC asks what she has planned for Christmas. She supposes that she'll be with
- Ken and CC will be with Angela. They both comment that they used to think
- they'd spend all their Christmases together. She falls asleep and he leaves.
-
- Gina is wearing a slinky black number and Lionel is in full Santa garb. They
- flirt verbally and start hugging and kissing. He goes to change. After a
- little trouble getting his boots off, he comes back in red pajamas (I think
- they're pajamas) that say "Peace on Earth". He also brings some champagne.
- They count their blessings and reminisce about Channing's birth almost a
- year ago. They snuggle under the covers, accompanied by the whistle of a
- toy train that is circling under the bed. [I must have missed something here!]
-
- Lilly sits at Rafe's bedside; he seems to be in a body cast from some sort
- of accident at the dig site. He opens his eyes but doesn't seem conscious.
- Ted wonders if Lilly would heave him for Rafe. He tells her she doesn't look
- at him the same way she looks at Rafe. She apologizes if she's hurt his
- feelings. She tells him she'll try to be honest about her feeling for Rafe
- just like he's been honest with her about Angela. He wonders if she'd go
- back to Rafe if he became free. She ducks the question by answering that
- it looks pretty unlikely that Rafe and Lisa will break up. Then he asks
- Lilly if she loves Rafe. She tells Ted she loves Rafe a little--just like
- he loves Angela a little. She notes that they've learned something; they're
- both concerned about losing each other, which could indicate deeper feelings
- for each other than they realized they had. Then she reassures him that she's
- not going to leave him--not even for Rafe. They hug. Micah tells Ted and
- Lilly that Rafe has a slight concussion but will recover fully. They're
- very relieved. Giovanni goes to look for Lisa in the chapel. He tells her
- that Rafe is going to be OK. Lisa tells him she felt responsible for Rafe's
- accident because of her lies; if she wouldn't give him up, then he'd be taken
- away as a punishment. Giovanni tells her that's not the way it works. She
- has confessed to God and has been forgiven; now she must confess to Rafe. She
- tells him she doesn't know if she's strong enough. He says she can borrow
- strength from him. They go back to where Rafe is. Lisa thanks everyone
- for their support. Micah says that Rafe is out of danger and may be moved
- to a private room. Lisa accompanies him. Lilly and Ted head home. Lisa
- thanks Micah for all he's done. Giovanni reminds Lisa what she needs to do.
-
- Rafe lies unconscious in his room with Lisa at his bedside. He dreams that
- he is standing between Lilly and Lisa. He asks Lisa what she's keeping from
- him. Giovanni arrives and starts to marry Lisa and Rafe; Rafe protests
- because Giovanni isn't really a priest yet, so they won't really be married.
- Again, he asks Lisa what she's hiding. Then he sees an empty cradle--no baby.
-
- Kelly finds a picture of Connor and a woman named Molly. She says to herself,
- "That's the name on the tombstone. Is that your wife?" Connor comes in with
- some wood. He asks Kelly what she's been doing. She claims to have just been
- sitting around. He asks her, if that's so, why are her shoes wet. She says
- she went out to look for some wood and he seems to buy that. He apologizes
- for snapping at her and she notes again that he's been on edge ever since
- they got off the plane. She wonders where he's been; just walking down
- memory lane, he says. She comments that there's one question she's never
- asked him: has he ever been married? He laughs and wonders what gave her
- that idea. Anyway, if he had been married, wouldn't he have told her by now?
- Not necessarily, she replies; he's been pretty closed-mouthed about his
- family. For instance, it's 3 days before Christmas and he doesn't even want
- to see his mother in the same city. He leaves the room to get something.
- Looking around again, Kelly notices a gun in the drawer. Scared, she puts on
- her shoes and gets her suitcase. Connor comes back with a quilt of his
- grandmother's--then he notices that Kelly is about to leave. He asks her
- where she's going. To a hotel, she replies--she doesn't like it there.
- Connor tells her there's no way she's leaving. She asks if he's holding her
- against her will. He points out that there's a blizzard going on and no way
- to travel. She agrees. He goes to get more firewood. While he is gone.
- Kelly calls Esther Mae McCabe (presumably Connor's mother, thought she claims
- not to be) and pleads with her not to hang up. She says it's very important
- to know what Mrs. McCabe means when she says she doesn't have a son--does she
- mean the person Kelly is with is not Connor McCabe, or does she mean she
- doesn't recognize him to be her son? Mrs. McCabe says she won't talk about
- him. Kelly asks if she'll talk about Molly--Kelly has seen her grave. Kelly
- asks how she died. "He murdered her," Mrs. McCabe replies. Connor looks in
- through the window.
