-
- I don't find KITH offensive, I just don't find it at all funny, while
- shows like the Simpsons, Blackadder, and even Ren & Stimpy can get me
- ROTFL. I even find the CBC show "Codco", which has often followed Kids
- in the Hall in its programming schedule, to be funnier.
-
- Very often, when I have tried to sit through it, I feel like I'me being
- hit over the head with gay issues, much like Designing Women does the
- same with women's issues. How I feel about these issues is not the point
- here, I feel that I'm being preached to in both cases, and I believe that
- this distracts from the potential humour in both shows.
-
- I personally don't find much funny about dressing in drag. I didn't care
- much for it in Monty Python or Benny Hill, and I don't care much for
- its heavy reliance by Kids in the Hall. I think that Dana Carvey's
- Church Lady is the only drag routine I've found even remotely funny.
- And that's been done to death.
-
- I would agree that In Living Colour has more moments of bad taste than
- Kids in the Hall (about rock bottom being the "Men on Film" skits), but
- the better moments of ILC have been, to me, far superior to anything
- I've seen on KITH.
-
- All purely subjective, of course.
