  24. A couple years ago he was awarded a MacArthur grant, and some of the
  25. news stories about that year's awards would run down the list and say
  26. "10 scientists, 3 writers, ... and a juggler!" with an air of
  27. amusement at how weirdly eclectic the MacArthur people were apparently
  28. being.  But when you see him -- the guy *is* a genius!
