  32.     Officer Semanski may be a "by-the-book" law enforcement officer, but how
  33.     is that in conflict with the judge's sentencing order?  The judge does
  34.     have the right to set a date for sentence to be carried out (how can we
  35.     forget a judge choosing the date April 15 for Leona Helmasley to report to
  36.     prison?), but a law enforcement officer can't change the circumstances.  I
  37.     could see Officer Semanski writing down the day and awaiting orders from
  38.     the West Virginia police in 1995.
