- Well...I have yet to see Lloyd-Webber's "Phantom" (it won't get to
- St. Louis until the fall of '93) but the Kopit/Yeston version is on the
- boards locally. Musically it's nowhere near as memorable as the Lloyd-
- Webber, and the story line is revisionist to say the least. A thumbnail
- review: entertaining (assuming your cast is a good one) in a small-scale
- way. Kopit and Yeston apparently decided to go for simplicity and intimacy
- instead of spectacle, and it works well on that level.
- $60? I dunno. We saw it on press comps.....>:-)>
