  16. Yes...and they seemed to have just exactly the right amount of rope (it looked
  17. like there was 6 inches of extra rope laying on the ground at the bottom).  If
  18. the cliff had been 503 meters rather than 500 meters, they would have been in
  19. big trouble.  The whole rope thing seemed a bit bogus to begin with.
