- Sorry if one/both of these have been pounded to death out here already
- (I can't keep up with *all* this traffic!), but I have two CoC questions:
-
- (1) What was Madred's ultimate goal in torturing Picard? After the info
- he got from the drug sessions and shortly into the torture, he didn't
- sound as concerned about Picard suppliying information about Minos Corva
- anymore, but more with Picard admitting to five lights were there were
- four. Was he working on breaking Picard's hold on reality (a la 1984)
- so that the Cardassians could implant some "reality" of their own before
- returning him to the Federation -- maybe implanting something(s) that
- would make Picard-commanding-the-Enterprise a beneficial circumstance
- for the Cardassians?
-
- (2) Okay, so Jellico wasn't conspiring to hand Picard over. But what
- about the Admiral? She never appeared after her subspace talk with
- Jellico. So? Was she (in shady cooperation with Cardassians) using
- Jellico and the metagenic threat to ship Picard over to the Cardassians,
- for whatever reasons? Is there any way to know? Will this ever come up
- again?
-
- Any answers/speculations would be appreciated, and empty flames ignored.
