  12. Well, having seen Deep Space Nine, I've got a few things to say:

  14. As everyone is probably going to tell you, it sure was better than
  15. Encounter at Farpoint.
  16.  
  17. I believe that TOS fans will be pleased, and will most likely enjoy
  18. DS9.  The TOS ingredients are there, and a quirkyness a la Northern
  19. Exposure can be seen in some of the characters.  And the most important
  20. ingredient is there:  CONFLICT!  
  21.  
  22. I've been growing disinterested in TNG for the past couple of years,
  23. with this HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY attitude that is rampant on the show.
  24. DS9 is definitely a step in the right direction for me, and I for
  25. one am going to stay with it...
  26.  
  27. Having seen some of the storylines that are coming up, though, makes
  28. me worried.  Let me just say that I hope that DS9 will try to 
  29. establish itself as a series, and forget any damn crossovers with
  30. TNG.

  32. Only one other show could top this:  BABYLON 5!!!
