  10.     It has been my impression that transporters cannor be
  11. utilized thru shieds.  
  12.     The repoeat epidosde where Scotte returns prompts this 
  13. question/comment.  The ship Geordi and Scottie are on 
  14. cleary has the shields up - but are transported off the 
  15. Gelico. But I remember that shields were lowered to
  16. transport the admiral-spy to a Romulan vessel - a bad time to do it
  17. if you don't have to.
