- Libertarianism. Efficient use of resources is, after all, both
- financially responsible and ecologically responsible. I am a
- vegetarian, and more would be if it weren't for the government
- subsidizing the meat industries with water and cash. Most paper
- would be made with ecologically efficient hemp instead of Birch
- if it were legal to grow in the US. Lands privately owned by
- logging companies are much better cared-for than public lands
- because ownership creates pride and raises value. People rarely
- pollute their own land--they only pollute public land because the
- government lets them get away with it. If all land were privately
- owned, polluters would have to worry about lawsuits.
