- Yeah, Village of the Damned is based on Wyndhams book,
- the Midwich Cuckoos. And by all accounts Wyndham was
- quite pleased by it.

- NB, I may be wrong, but I think that Children of the Damned
- was in colour. But anyway, IMO, Children on the Damned is a
- duffer of a film. True, the sets and SFX are much better,
- but the plot is pretty illogical ( ie. no explanation
- for the existence of the children at all) and a silly ending.
-
- From what I've read, Wyndham didn't like Children of the damned
- much at all, and distanced himself from it as he did
- with the Hollywood version of Day of the Triffids.
-
- I imagine that he would of approved of the BBC tv
- version though.
