- Firey sunset,
- orange glow,
- this sad day
- ended at noon
-
- Firey animal
- advanced down the hill,
- its black breath filled the sky,
- its laughter our ears.
-
- Firey Death
- for people with much,
- for people with little,
- it makes us equal.

- note: This is about the fire in the hills
- of Berkeley and Oakland. i have been
- astounded at the morbid coverage of this
- horrifying event. This poem trys to
- convey my sadness and helplessness without
- the gruesome monetary evaluations of human
- life.
