  13.     At a New Year's party last night, some of us were discussing
  14. the aspect ratios of various films, and the following question came
  15. up: Which U.S. theatrical release holds the record for the most
  16. extreme aspect ratio?
  17.  
  18.     Three popular guesses:
  19.  
  20.     -1) 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY
  21.     -2) SPARTACUS
  22.     -3) THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY
  23.  
  24.     2001 was the most popular, but nobody could rember the
  25. exact aspect ratio. We know that SPARTACUS is up there at 2.6:1,
  26. and so is THE GOOD, THE BAD, AND THE UGLY.

  28.     So if anybody knows, do tell.
